It is our pleasure to extend a warm invitation to you to attend
the 12th International Myopia Conference in Australia
in July 2008. This will be held at the
Palm Cove Resort,
Palm Cove, near Cairns in Far North Queensland, Australia, from 8th-12th July 2008.
The 12th International Myopia Conference Australia
2008 will serve as a platform for research scientists
and eyecare professionals to present the latest findings
in myopia research. Specifically, the aetiology of myopia
from animal and human work, interventions to decrease
the progression of myopia, ocular morbidity associated
with myopia and the genetics of myopia are some of the
highlights of an interesting and attractive scientific
program. We hope to address commonly asked questions
about myopia, consolidate the evidence for successful
public health and vision screening programs, and develop
new strategies to prevent myopia.
The International Myopia Conference is convened once
in two years and we welcome everyone to Australia.
