Guidelines For Poster Presentations

Poster Display Hours

Posters may be hung between 7:30am and 8:00am on the day of your presentation. Posters must remain on display all day, and must be removed at the close of each day (6:30pm). The organiser is not responsible for poster materials left at day’s end.

You are not required to be in attendance at your poster board. You may wish to leave your appropriate form of contact (e.g. email address) on the poster board, so that other delegates can communicate with you if they would like to discuss your work with you.

Posterboard Dimensions

Display boards have maximum dimensions of 1.3m (W) x 2.0m (H). The poster size should not exceed 1.0m (W) x 1.2m (H).

Poster Design

Keep materials clear and concise. Produce material that is legible from a distance of at least 3 feet. Use large print and shade/colour block letters when possible. For legibility, a minimum font size of 28 points and a maximum of 600 words are recommended. Use a layout for your poster that follows the main headings used in your abstract, i.e., Purpose, Methods, Results and Conclusions. Appropriate acknowledgement and references should also be included.

Mounting

Posters must be fixed with Velcro. Velcro (male) will be available from the organizers. Do not use pushpins, adhesives or multi-layered materials directly on the poster boards.

Disclosures

First authors must disclose any Commercial relationships, including the name(s) of the firm(s) with which a commercial relationship exists, conflicts of interest, and/or patents or patent applications, associated with the abstract at the time of their presentation.

All Commercial Relationships must be indicated on the bottom right corner of your poster. Indicate NONE if applicable.

You may wish to leave your contact details on your poster.

Withdrawal Policy

If you are unable to present, you must contact the Organiser to provide notification of your withdrawal.
